Strengthening the marketing of brands in foreign markets through showrooms abroad 

GeoEnergetika d.o.o. has successfully obtained co-financing for the project "strengthening brand marketing in foreign markets through showrooms" in the public tender Strengthening Brand Marketing in Foreign Markets Through Showrooms Abroad.

The objective of the public tender from the perspective of the Operational Program for the implementation of the European Cohesion Policy in the period 2014-2020 (hereinafter: the operational program) is to contribute to the specific objective "Increasing the international competitiveness of SMEs" within the framework of the priority investment "Development and implementation of new business models for SMEs, in particular in relation to internationalization'.


The purpose of the public tender is to support companies that want to strengthen the marketing of brands in foreign markets and in this way achieve higher added value and a competitive advantage in the market, both in the positioning of end products in the foreign market and in the integration into global value chains at different levels. The public tender aims to increase the cost competitiveness of the Slovenian economy and reduce possible price pressures on Slovenian suppliers of intermediate products in global value chains.

S-IPR: Intelligent process lighting system for smart factories

With its S-IPR development proposal GeoEnergetika d.o.o. has successfully competed for a grant at the third opening phase of the Public tender for grants for research and development projects 2 (Javni razpis “Spodbude za raziskovalno-razvojne projekte 2”). The grant is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The purpose of the project is to develop an innovative system of interconnected industrial LED luminaires with integrated sensory components that will enable:

  • Precise reading of environmental parameters
  • Advanced spatial analysis, and the
  • receival, aggregation, and transmission of information about the processual parameters of manufacturing and logistical operations to analytical software systems.

    Accordingly, S-IPR will function as a key perceptive and network element in smart factory implementation projects which will allow for complementary improvements in the areas of process, as well as energy efficiency. The project is compatible with the aim of the public tender, as it will contribute towards the development of new products in the focus areas of the Slovenian strategy of smart specialization (S4). Most notably, it contributes to the area of the Factories of the future, while its impact will also be visible in the areas of Smart cities and communities and Networks for the transition into a circular economy. It is also compatible with the public tender’s goal of increasing the competitiveness of supported companies through the development of new products with high added-value.

    The project’s duration is 24 months and is due to be completed by July 2022. The entire project value amounts to 642.210,50 EUR, while the total awarded grant is 288.994,71 EUR.

    Incentivizing creative cultural industries – Center for creativity 2020-2021



    In 2020, GeoEnergetika d.o.o. was awarded a grant of 30.000 EUR from the Slovenian Ministry of Culture under the public tender for “Spodbujanje kreativnih kulturnih industrij – Center za kreativnost 2020-2021” (“Incentivizing creative cultural industries – Center for creativity 2020-2021”) for the Development of Ethna, an LED landscape luminaire. The investment is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).


    The purpose of the public tender is in supporting and developing innovative ideas, companies or projects from the field of the creative cultural sector (CCS), cooperation between the CCS and the enterprise sector, the transfer of new ideas to the enterprise sector, the promotion of entrepreneurship in the CCS through the cooperation with mentors, inclusion in mentoring programs, as well as elevate the number of people employed in the supported projects.


    Ethna will function as a radical breakthrough in the area of expressing cultural and natural characteristics of local and regional environments. It will form a synthesis of modern shape, advanced technological solutions, and symbolic expression of the natural and cultural heritage. This symbolic expressivity will be achieved through the integration of representative materials and motifs into its construction and connecting them to instructive online materials with which it will help contribute to the rise of the public awareness of the landscape's natural and cultural history.


    GeoEnergetika will develop Ethna in collaboration with a CCS representative and with the help of a mentor, which it will pick from the mentoring scheme, managed by the Center for Creativity.

    Permanent youth employment 2020


    In the year 2020, GeoEnergetika d.o.o. was approved 4.992 EUR from the Employment Service of Slovenia under the public call »Spodbude za trajno zaposlovanje mladih 2020« (“Incentives for permanent youth employment 2020”). The operation is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union under the European Social Fund (ESF).

    The purpose of the public call is to encourage employers to hire unemployed young people (up to 29 years of age) on a permanent basis, thereby contributing to work and social activation and reduce supply and demand imbalances in the labor market. By employing young people, employers will acquire the necessary manpower and be entitled to a grant, thus increasing their competitiveness.

    Digitalization of marketing materials



    On the basis of its application to the Public call for the co-financing of costs related to the digitalization of trade channels and marketing materials for foreign markets promotion (“Javni poziv za sofinanciranje stroškov digitalizacije prodajnih poti ter predstavitvenih in trženjskih gradiv za promocijo na tujih trgih”), GeoEnergetika d.o.o. has been awarded a grant in the amount of 7.945 EUR. The company will use the grant to cover the costs of creating:

    1. Video materials at the company or product / service line level in at least one foreign language (translation included).
    2. Presentational e-catalogues in at least three languages (translation included).


    The public call was published by the Public Agency for Entrepreneurship, Internationalization, Foreign Investments and Technology (SPIRIT Slovenia) with the purpose of mitigating the effects of the COVID 19 epidemic on the micro, small, and medium-sized businesses, registered in Slovenia. It aims to achieve this through the co-financing of eligible costs associated with digitalization of trade channels in foreign markets, as well as presentational and marketing materials that are aimed at foreign markets.

    SPIRIT co-financing of the exhibition at Light + Building 2020 logos



    Grants for research and development projects 2


    As a part of a consortium with Impedanca d.o.o., GeoEnergetika d.o.o. has been awarded a grant from The Ministry of Economic Development and Technology under the Public tender for grants for research and development projects 2 for the project “Smart LED Street Light with an Integrated Environment Monitoring System”. The grant is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).


    The purpose of the project is to develop an innovative product, a street light that will monitor and gather environmental data in real time, share this data over a network and use the processed data to prepare reports and generate alarms in those cases when measured values exceed set parameters.


    The project complies with the demands of the S4 priority areas, as it contributes towards the realization of the “Smart cities and communities” area’s goal of achieving globally competitive system solutions in the area of smart grids and IT platforms with user solutions.


    The goals of the project are as follows:

          • To develop a luminaire capable of monitoring different physical parameters at the level of micro locations (i.e. the individual points where the luminaires are installed) and can
          • create reports and alarms based on real-time data received from micro locations.
          • To develop a server-based application which will display data, gathered from the luminaire’s smart monitoring system, as well as luminaire’s configuration and alarm settings.

     
    The project is due to be completed by March 2020. The entire project value amounts to 1.069.494,95 EUR, while the total awarded grant is 434.468,21 EUR, of which 177.422,82 EUR is intended for GeoEnergetika d.o.o.

    Digital marketing voucher


    In the year 2020, GeoEnergetika d.o.o. received a grant in the amount of 5.000 EUR from the Slovenian Enterprise Fund under the public call »Vavčer za digitalni marketing« (“Digital marketing voucher”) for the purpose of co-financing the costs of building an online store and a reservation platform. The investment is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

    The purpose and goal of the public call is in encouraging micro, small and medium sized enterprises based in the Republic of Slovenia to implement measures of digital marketing, thereby increasing their competitiveness, added value, or net sales.

    Entry of Slovenian smart lighting into the Irish market



    As a leading partner of a consortium that also includes the companies Impedanca d.o.o. and Garex d.o.o., GeoEnergetika d.o.o. has successfully applied to the public tender “Spodbujanje partnerstev za učinkovitejši nastop na tujih trgih 2020-2022” (Incentivizing partnerships for more efficient participation in foreign markets 2020-2022) with the project “Entry of the Slovenian smart lighting into the Irish market”. The Public Agency for Enterpreneurship, Internationalization, Foreign Investments and Technology (SPIRIT Slovenia) has awarded the consortium a grant of 239.550 EUR, of which 92.850 EUR is allocated to GeoEnergetika d.o.o. The project is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

    In carrying out the approved project, the consortium partners will combine their complementary product solutions and offer a comprehensive system of smart LED illumination which will enable each of the partners to successfully enter the target Irish market by the end of the year 2021.

    The goals of the project are:

    • Gathering key information and preparing the strategy for entering the foreign market;
    • participation in trade fairs;
    • preparation and distribution of promotional materials;
    • strengthening of employee competences in the field of foreign market entry;
    • entry of each of the consortium partners into a new foreign market (Ireland).


    The results of the project will be:

    • Two key documents: a business plan and a marketing plan;
    • at least 3 signed partnership contracts;
    • participation in at least 6 educational events and 6 training events;
    • income realization in foreign markets.

    Incentivizing creative cultural industries – Center for creativity 2019



    In 2019, GeoEnergetika d.o.o. was awarded a grant of 30.000 EUR from the Slovenian Ministry of Culture under the public tender for “Spodbujanje kreativnih kulturnih industrij – Center za kreativnost 2019” (“Incentivizing creative cultural industries – Center for creativity 2019”) for the development of the Innovative urban LED illumination system Bruma. The investment is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).


    The purpose of the public tender is in supporting and developing innovative ideas, companies or projects from the field of the creative cultural sector (CCS), cooperation between the CCS and the enterprise sector, the transfer of new ideas to the enterprise sector, the promotion of entrepreneurship in the CCS through the cooperation with mentors, inclusion in mentoring programs, as well as elevate the number of people employed in the supported projects.


    The Bruma illumination system is aiming to fill the untapped market potential in the area of luminaires that combine esthetical and functional illumination for the purposes of revitalizing public spaces. Currently available products are unsuitable for this purpose due to their technological shortcomings and non-compliance with environmental regulations. The Bruma illumination system will distinguish itself from the competition by its modular construction, energy efficiency and environmental compliance, as well as advanced control systems for effectuating creative lighting scenes.


    The company ADESCO, d.o.o., which operates in the creative culture sector, will assist GeoEnergetika in the development process, while the mentoring process, which is prescribed by the documentation of the public tender, will be carried out by M. Sc. Luka Mali.

    Voucher for the preparation of a digital strategy


    In the year 2019, GeoEnergetika d.o.o. received a grant in the amount of 9.000 EUR from the Slovenian Enterprise Fund under the public call “Vavčer za pripravo digitalne strategije” (Voucher for the preparation of a digital strategy). The investment is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

    The purpose of the public call is to encourage small- and medium-sized companies based in Slovenia to prepare a digital strategy for the purpose of their subsequent digital transformation which will contribute to their competitiveness, added value, or net sales.

    Promotion of employment


    In the year 2019, GeoEnergetika d.o.o. received a total of 8.000 EUR in grants from the Employment Service of Slovenia under the public call »Spodbujanje zaposlovanja – Zaposli.me 2017/2019« (“Promotion of employment – Employ.me 2017/2019”). The investment is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union under the European Social Fund (ESF).

    The purpose of the public call is to promote the employment of unemployed persons from the target group which will enable them to find quality employment as soon as possible and substantially contribute towards strengthening their employability, social capital, long-term social inclusion and equal opportunities in the labor market, in addition to having a significant impact on the reduction of the employment mismatch present therein. On the side of employers, they will be able to raise their competitiveness by employing the unemployed persons from the target group and grant receival.

    Digital marketing voucher


    In the year 2019, GeoEnergetika d.o.o. received a grant in the amount of 1.500 EUR from the Slovenian Enterprise Fund under the public call »Vavčer za digitalni marketing« (“Digital marketing voucher”) for the purpose of co-financing the costs of building a new company website (including its adjustment for mobile devices) and its testing with respect to its technical and UX aspect. The investment is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

    The purpose and goal of the public call is in encouraging micro, small and medium sized enterprises based in the Republic of Slovenia to implement measures of digital marketing, thereby increasing their competitiveness, added value, or net sales.
